Retention
The share of users who come back and use a product again in later weeks or months, usually shown per sign-up cohort.
Retention is read from a cohort chart: users grouped by the week they signed up, and the share of each group still doing a key action one, two, four or more weeks later. A curve that flattens means a group found lasting value; a curve that keeps falling towards zero means the product leaks. Count a meaningful action, not just a visit, or the number flatters you.
