NIS2
The EU cybersecurity directive that requires medium and large organizations in 18 sectors to manage cyber risk and report incidents.
Member states had until October 17, 2024 to transpose the NIS2 Directive; it covers sectors such as energy, transport, health, finance, digital infrastructure, digital services and manufacturing of critical products. Covered entities need risk management, supply chain security, business continuity and incident reporting, with management accountable. Software vendors feel it through their customers’ security questionnaires and contracts.
