Web: accessibility and languages
Globalization (g11n)
The whole effort of taking a product to many markets: internationalized code, localized content and the processes around them.
In software, globalization is the umbrella: i18n makes the code ready, l10n fills it per market, and the rest is operations: support hours and languages, local payments and invoicing, data residency, legal pages per country. It is a business decision first; the code follows.
