DORA metrics
Research-based measures of software delivery: how fast changes reach production and how often they fail.
The DORA research program groups five metrics in two sets. Throughput: change lead time, deployment frequency and failed deployment recovery time. Instability: change fail rate and deployment rework rate. Its finding is that speed and stability go together: teams that ship small changes often also break less.

- CI/CD: Continuous integration and continuous delivery: every change is built and tested automatically and can be released at any time.
- Trunk-based development: Everyone merges small changes into one main branch at least daily, instead of keeping long-lived feature branches.
- SLO and SLI: An SLI is a measured indicator of service quality; an SLO is the internal target for it, stricter than any SLA you sign.
