Design system (Storybook)
Shared components, tokens and rules that keep a product consistent across screens, teams and platforms.
Tokens hold the decisions (colors, spacing, type), components implement them once, and documentation shows how to use them. Storybook is a common tool for developing and documenting components in isolation, with each state as a story that can also be a test. A design system pays off when several screens or apps share it; for one small app a few well-named components are enough.
