CASA (Cloud Application Security Assessment)
The security assessment based on OWASP ASVS that Google requires for apps using restricted scopes, such as Gmail data.
CASA is based entirely on the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard, with tiers that scale the depth of testing to the risk. Google requires apps that access restricted-scope data through their servers to pass an assessment by an approved assessor, and to repeat it at least every 12 months. It covers authentication, session handling, data protection and how the app stores tokens.
