Email authentication

VMC and CMC

Mark certificates that prove you own the logo BIMI shows: Verified (trademark) or Common (12 months of use).

A Verified Mark Certificate needs a registered trademark and brings Gmail’s blue checkmark. A Common Mark Certificate needs no trademark, only proof that the logo has been on your website for at least a year. Gmail shows logos with either, Apple Mail only with a VMC. The certificate embeds the logo itself, so the file at the BIMI l= address must be exactly the same SVG; a mismatch is one of the most common reasons logos do not appear.
