Email authentication and deliverability
TLS-RPT
A DNS record that asks other mail servers to send you daily reports when encrypted delivery to your domain fails.
Defined in RFC 8460, it is a TXT record at _smtp._tls. your domain, such as v=TLSRPTv1; rua=mailto:tls@example.com. Sending servers report TLS failures, including MTA-STS policy problems, so you learn about a broken certificate or policy before mail starts bouncing.

- DMARC: The policy that tells receivers what to do when mail fails SPF and DKIM, and where to report.
- MX record: A DNS record that names the mail servers accepting email for a domain, each with a preference number: lower numbers are tried first.
