Slop (AI slop, workslop)
Low-quality content mass-produced with AI: it looks finished and says little.
Merriam-Webster named “slop” its word of the year for 2025, defined as low-quality digital content usually mass-produced with AI. Inside companies the same thing has a name from a 2025 Harvard Business Review article: workslop, AI-generated work that looks polished but pushes the real thinking onto whoever receives it. In code it is the pull request nobody read before opening.
