16 KB page size (Android)
Newer Android devices use 16 KB memory pages; apps with native libraries built for 4 KB pages must be rebuilt or they will not run there.
Pure Kotlin or Java code is not affected; native .so libraries are, including ones pulled in by React Native, game engines and SDKs. Each must be aligned to 16 KB, which recent NDK versions do by default, and Google Play requires support for apps targeting Android 15 or higher on 64-bit devices. The fix is often an SDK update, sometimes a library swap when the vendor never updated it.
